any Aviators fans?
Nope, cuz I been to the motherfucking mountaintop.
An animator that I watch regularly on YouTube just Tweeted that a music video she spent months working on has been released.
Oh, a domestic band for me.

Found it on this playlist:
I posted the above almost exactly a year ago. I was a bit superficial when I wrote this. Over the course of several additional listens after that point, and me recently buying their live album their songs have several additional layers beyond that. Of course it is obvious that a song like “Never fight a man with a perm” lampoons toxic masculinity, but at the end hands out an olive branch, or that the song “I’m Scum” stomps on leftist stereotypes. However, some other things took me a bit longer to figure out. Like that in “Danny Nedelko” they juxtapose immigrant stereotypes with more famous immigrants, though I guess I can chalk that up to being unfamiliar with Malala and Mo Farah.
Anyhow, this band is awesome and much better than what my juvenile admiration of referencing wrestlers in their songs should have explained. “This snowflake’s an avalanche!”
“every guy from idles looks like a different 80’s dad”
Only once before have I heard a song that just immediately speared my heart. I had a good cry with my wife after I heard this one
YouTube’s ever-so-gracious algorithm sent me to Melodicka Bros, who make cover songs that are way off base from their original source material.
I liked the Country Roads cover, but I feel like they could have deviated more with the chorus. Overall I enjoy what they’re trying to do.
Finally got check out this new mix:
This is absolutely my shit.
Also talent behind Lingua Ignota, The Body, and Full of Hell are joining forces to create what might be considered an “Dark experimental music super group” with Sightless Pit:
I mean, it’s not even all that surprising if you follow them, but hell yes.
Next we got a really cool vaporwave compilation album called Combochamp where various artists were teamed up via randomizer to come up with tracks for an album, to see who is the best. If you’re into the -wave universe, or its associated influences, this is worth checking out:
I haven’t really liked anything AJJ did since Knife Man, but if their next album is all this I’m soooo on board.
