Magnus won another game.

Seems like a lock he’ll win the whole shebang now.

Well, Magnus has won 3 now, with 5 games left. Last time, Nepo blundered a pawn. This time, a whole bishop.

I had expected some crazier games after the first W, but this is nuts.

Magnus won today, sealing the deal.

Everyone wanted a spicy match instead of a repeat of Drawfest 2018, and we got it. 7.5-3.5 is a crushing. Magnus won 4 out of the last 6, including 2 with black.

That’ll give him the boot from the 2022 challenger tournament. He’s the last guy to take a game off Magnus in the world championship.

And he would have had to play Nepo again, who he just crushed last time.

Chess does have a history of the champ taking his ball pieces and going home.

The next wave of great players will probably exclusively play for draws on purpose unless the rules change again.
