Visiting NY this January

So, I have a work trip to NY for January, but plan to stay an extra week or so afterwards, I know there are some NY forumites here, any suggestions? Most of the stuff people tell me I NEED TO DO is outdoors and it seems that January is the coldest month of the year (I come from a country where 18C is considered freezing cold).

I already have the usual suspects on the list, MoMA, Museum of Natural History, Guggenheim, the Met. Not really interested in the statue of liberty, Chrysler/empire state buildings, nor the wax museum (unless someone really thinks I should).

So, anything I should check out?

If you know the dates you’re visiting, I recommend you consult the chart

Enjoy whatever cool stuff you inevitably find.

When exactly are you coming? Maybe I can take you to MSG for some hockey.

They are yet to confirm, but if it’s on, it’s from the 15th to the 28th. Thanks for the link @Naoza! I’ll check it closer to the date of my departure as I assume it’ll have more stuff in it by then

I get back to NYC from PAX South on the 15th, which is a holiday (MLK Day). I can take you to hockey on the night of the night of the 16th if you don’t have a different plan.

Awesome! I’d have to confirm first the dates (this/next week) etc, but I’m game!
