This was an extremely enjoyable deep dive into Call On Me by Eric Prydz and the original DJ Tool by 1/2 of Daft Punk before they were Daft Punk that inspired it. Very interesting bit of music history and like true crime but for music samples.

This is mainly for future me but others would be interested in the topic.

It is so frustrating to keep hearing/seeing stories like this about how in the US & Canada we take every opportunity to not try SOMETHING, ANYTHING, that transit experts tell us is needed if you actually want to lessen car dependency.

I mean yeah thats the core sample, but like there is an extremely convoluted history to that sample being used in a dance track that eventually ends up in the Eric Prydz release.
