Things of Your Day

I feel like I’ve seen other videos of playing music on these calculators. Impressive for sure. However I’m also wondering who would want a calculator that plays a tone when you press the keys? Is this a real device or modded?

Bunch of behind the scenes stuff from the latest 21st Of September video:

The house party house at the end is the lady’s who wrote the song!

So I am going to file this under interesting talk. +2 comedy interviews a kid that was a leader on Kid Nation, what some people considered “the worst reality TV show ever.” It was an interesting talk about how what many on the outside consider a horror show actually was a positive experience for many that participated in it.

The further down that list you go, the further from god you stray.

I think it has been thoroughly established that Cleveland is indeed hell.

I had one of these recently. It was good, but I did not like the sugar situation. I also wished that it wasn’t cheese on top hot dog on bottom, but both throughout. But the reason they don’t do that is that the hot dog is a stopper that keeps the melted cheese from coming out of the bottom.

the weirdass creamcheese hotdog is on the first row. I cant even comprehend this as a thing.

I should comment when I ate at Levy’s (hot dog place that was close to the game store I would go to) I had their hotdog and crab cake on a long roll, I skipped the toppings personally but it was really good combo.

I knew a lot of these, they’re common science/mathy youtuber fodder, but some of them made my brain hurt.

Take that Down-Staters and Western-Staters!

Did they … visit? … Albany? Or did they just go “you know, it’s the state capital, it must be a great place!”

So the conclusion here is that basically if Taiwan wanted to keep China off its back for a bit, they would compel TSMC to offload their machines to the US or EU.

By the same token it sounds like if this technology is indeed so vital that China would risk a global conflagration by landing troops on Taiwan for it, someone from the western sphere would be very keen on making sure that entire facility is turned to slag before any such takeover could occur. China would know this, and thus have to either do some extreme rapid covert area takeover that would make any such attempt at sabotage an untenable step towards full conflict, or it would know that sabotage was inevitable and thus trying to seize the technology is just not part of why their interests in Taiwan are escelating. From the western/Taiwanese side, they likely already have contingency ‘scuttle’ protocols in place.

So my take is probably the China is not overly interested in capturing the equipment in Taiwan though it likely would be open to the idea if they thought they could without too much blowback. Instead they’ll rely on espionage and so-on to shorten the time to their own manufacturing parity which is tried and true and has little risk.

Not sure if this has already been posted, but China recently exploded 15 skyscrapers simultaneously in a mass demolition. It’s pretty crazy to watch, and one building doesn’t fully come down:
