Can we talk about the Cybertruck reveal? It felt like Elon Musk was channeling Michael Scott of the Office when after the first window broke from the ball bearing, he had the assistant try AGAIN on the 2nd window and it too broke. He then said āWeāll fix it in postā and proceeded to finish the presentation standing in front of the truck with his face INBETWEEN both of the broken windows.
No, because I try to pay as little attention as possible to what the garbage human Musk does.
Not just some assistant - thatās Franz von Holzhausen, the guy behind the Model S facelift, and the Model X and 3. Heās the guy who took over the exterior design after Elon forced Eberhard out. And it was funny as fuck, especially because that second throw was a limp-wristed lob that visibly started to fall before it hit the window, and it still shattered it. Best of luck to Franz in his future endeavors, because itās less than 50/50 if heāll have a job when Elonās finished the inevitable rage-fit that will result from this.
Not to mention, the truck with the supposed huge 3 ton carrying/towing capacity deflecting almost eight to twelve inches from the weight of a small, stripped-down ATV, Elon pretending that theyād made an ATV, when it was just a Yamaha Raptor 700 with an electric motor stuffed in and some cyperpunk-ish tat glued on, the ramp being visibly held together by hundred mile an hour tape.
Yo dawg I heard you like cars so we will be pimping a pimp my ride car.
Based on how I would expect to react to such a name change, Iām unexpectedly not totally against this. Itās fun!
That is exactly the correct balance of āstupidā and ācuteā necessary for me to love it.
Same company that jumped into the US with Think Small and Lemon ads so dad jokes are on brand I feel.
I miss FahrvergnĆ¼gen.
New model: Volty McVoltface
I dig it, itās cute and fun. More car companies should go for cute and fun.
RIP Voltswagen 2021-2021
It was an April Foolās joke that leaked early.

Oh hey, this is like 35-40 minutes drive from my place, and the tickets are free, Iām kinda tempted. I aināt gonna buy anything - as much as it pains me to admit - but it would be cool to see.
Edit - I should point out, itās an online only event, but a few quick texts around and I now know where the cars are being stored, online only event doesnāt preclude me borrowing a drone and having a bit of a nosy on the storage lot. Or just, yāknow, rocking up and asking to see the goods.
Do it!
Iād love to see what condition they are in after the months of shooting in the desert and then being stored for five or six years. I have a feeling the photos arenāt presenting what is actually on offer.
I saw a making of featurette awhile back and I believe they had about a dozen copies of each of the cars made at the time due to breakdowns/outright-wrecks expected during shooting. These might be the āheroā models used for closeups or just the surviving copies, would love to know more too!
Yeah, I wouldnāt bid on this, but I would 100% go see it if it were anywhere near me.
