Very interesting, but my red flag went up a little bit when I looked into this guy. Someone who is big into old white classical philosophy and has a website called reasonio, and is big into the misogynist R. Scott Bakker sets off my libertarian alarm. But I checked his Twitter and he seems to be clearly a Democrat, so flag goes back down for now.

Oh no, he pronounces it Akmanian.
WHAT. I had to get the book off the shelf to confirm. It’s spelled Achamian. WTF is he getting a second n from, and why has the m moved to the left?
He probably just misspoke. He says the name again around the 32:07 minute mark and he pronounces it like it’s written.

Ok. Sigh of relief.
Finally got around to this. He goes over R. Scott Background for a while. Starts talking about TDTCB itself around 29:30.
Today I learned about Sejanus and his political rival Drusus:
I just got an email from Amazon, notifying me that The Great Ordeal is now available to order.

Wait. you’re confusing me now. This isn’t the new book. This is the old one.
Yeah, why did I get a notification 5 years after it came out?
