Isn’t Scott Adams an awful person?
Absolutely unambiguously.

Someone’s not an awful person because they disagree with you politically. I saw him speak on Bill Maher, seemed totally reasonable too me, none of his cartoons made him seem like an awful person.
Now now, that’s a very unkind assumption. After all, it might be that, or it might not be that at all. It could be something like how he likened women asking for equal pay to greedy children demanding candy, or the mentally handicapped. Or that time that he blamed rape and other crime on society being a “prison for men’s natural desires”, and how unfair it was to hold men who commit rape responsible for rape. Or that time he claimed we live in a matriarchy because men have to ask for sex. Or that time that he postulated that terrorism and mass killings were caused by women not giving men sex. Or the time that he flirted with Holocaust denialism. Or the whole climate change denial thing. Or the raving about reverse discrimination. Or the part where he was raving about how having a woman giving a speech on TV reduces men’s testosterone on viewing. Or the time that he basically said “If russia did interfere with our election, they did us a favor”. Or the time that he claimed that V-neck sweaters were a dire threat to American Masculinity.

And that’s just the shit it’s worth calling him an awful person for, not the stuff that’s just really dumb, like claiming you can’t prove gravity exists, or that evolution isn’t real, or his absurd beliefs about affirmations(as in, The Secret), or hypnosis, or “persuasion”.

And either way, his point is flawed. Giving money to charity can be a cost/benefit analysis and you can make arguments either way. This is like finding a magic check on the ground that can be made out to a charity or it’ll melt and help no-one.

(Also, Adams had very little involvement in the Dilbert cartoon; it was a cash-in, and significantly better for it)
Damned wizards. Can’t they just give money like normal people? Why do they always have to be such a pain in the arse about everything?
