What’s it like in terms of hotels? Can I walk to the con from a room I could get with relative ease today?
Maybe not walk, but there might be Hotel Shuttles to the Double Tree.
I visited this hotel for Herocon back in 2009, it’s an extremely nice hotel and even in mid-September you can still use the pool. Really nice view of the surrounding area.
From what I was told the hotel situation is good, the area and hotel are connected and walkable.
