It’s not cheating. It’s just uninteresting in play except in the context of hyper-maximizing and exploiting one extremely narrow probability chart among a sea of billions as a demonstration.
The hobby here is creating these showcases from the seeds. There are billions and billions of such showcases that one could make.
Don’t the leaderboards separate chosen seeds from normal play?
(I’ve never looked at the leaderboards).
If I were them, choosing a seed would make your run ineligible for a leaderboard. At MOST, I’d consider keeping a leadboard for the top 10 most common seeds, each with its own rankings and still separate from the normal leaderboards.
How well the iOS UI would function on an OG iPhone SE? I would love to slay spires on the go, but I worry there’s too much to cram onto such a medium sized screen.
Today I learned that the “gain x stat, at the end of the turn lose x stat” cards work by applying a buff to you, and also a debuff that fires at the end of your turn.
So if you have an artifact in play, it applies the buff, e.g. “Gain 5 strength”, applies the debuff, artifact cancels it, and then you keep the buff for the rest of the fight.
