I fell you about the car issues. I took mine in to get a scheduled oil changed and now need to wait on parts to get my front breaks fixed. Also the trend with modern cars is to let the computer take care of it and allow you to not do anything repair wise so no idea what the plan is if I need to replace the current car.

Also to follow up on lamp gate the electronics community is having a field day with that video. Here is another example of it.
