Nice timing, on the most recent episode of CheckPoint there was a story about Rockstar releasing pirated & cracked versions of games to Steam rather than using the source code to the games that they SHOULD posses. Oh, and as a result the anti-piracy checks are flagging Steam users who purchased the game legitimately.
