EDIT: Just finished watching the SOR speed run. That was super legit. Loved the Stage 8 Skip glitch he showed at the end after beating his time estimate.

It was either one of the best blindfold runs of all time, or he was peeking through that blindfold.
I just watched a youtube documentary on blind speedruns. Iād believe it was legit.

Most likely, but I canāt help but be suspicious.
I mean, thereās no way to like truly prove it to my satisfaction, short of my being in the room and physically standing between him and the screen. Iām confident Iām opaque.
But living like that is boring. Iāll try and believe.
Standard protocol for blind runs at ^[AS]GDQ$ should be someone at various intervals standing in front of, jumping across, or otherwise visually annoying the runner. If they are truly blindfolded, they would never even be aware.

I donāt know why they donāt simply turn their chair around backwards so the screen is behind them.

I donāt know that Iād love this if for no other reason that the live crowd would do what live crowds always do in that situation and giggle snicker and otherwise not be quiet during a blindfolded run.

I would play the hell out of that.
I watched the Super Mario Sunshine to get my fix of that game without having to play it again, and itās always impressive seeing how people figure/discover ways to do these speed runs.
However, itās mostly white dudes whenever I see whatās going on. Problematic. But again, itās not surprising.
No doubt, at least Iāve noticed that trans people are pretty unremarkable at GDQ. Iāve been a fan of that.
Theyāve made a push for more women and more POC, and the rep has been increasing. Slowlyā¦ Glaciallyā¦
