In New York it’s different.
Apartment = rat-infested hellhole
Nice Apartment = old dingy building, but no major health problems
Luxury Apartment = normal apartment in modern building
Ultra-Luxury Apartment = wealthy person’s apartment
I also have a luxury apartment in New York. I have both a dining room table and gaming coffee table with said storage for games under panels. By my single piece of anecdotal data, your argument is invalid.

I have thought about buying a lake house upstate or something. It would be a lot better if more people went in on it.
I would, but only if it’s near a train line. I ain’t keeping a car here to drive up. I’d keep a car UP THERE.

Having spent a lot of summers in Minnesota there’s a lot of variety in sizes of lakes. Mille Lacs Lake would be bigger than I would want.

Whatever happened to operation Paxlantis?
As someone originally from poughkeepsie- poughkeepsie is getting a lot more expensive these days from people moving up from the city. One would need to go north of poughkeepsie to afford one.
