It’s actually kind of funny how rare it is for popular sci-fi to deal with quarantine procedures with regard to visiting alien worlds. The only example I can think of is Alien where Ripley refuses to let the landing party back on board, though she is outmaneuvered afterward. Maybe it’s just thought of as boring, but as we can learn from these days, it would be absolutely vital for survival not just for the people directly involved but everyone they ever come in contact with afterward.
