Climate Change

In the past week enormous rainfalls have caused floods throughout large swaths of central and eastern europe.

In Austria most of this has hit the district of Lower Austria, which is currently considered an emergency area in its entirety.

Subsequently Vienna has had major issues as the rivers fill up in Lower Austria through the Wien (the river) which flows through Wien (the city) into the Danube. At least one subway line had to be closed over the weekend.

And Austria has gotten off comparatively easy so far. On the border between Poland and Czechia a dam broke, and Romania is also looking worse for wear.
