1.1.1.1 looks interesting. It’s Not-Google, so it’s got that going for it.

1.1.1.1 is reported to be faster than Google, but can you trust the cloudflare that defends nazis more than you can trust Google who you already trust with everything? Perhaps not.

I thought they not-defended nazis. Didn’t they take the daily stormer offline?

They did the right thing once. It’s not entirely clear what happened there. That seems to be the only case where they’ve done something. They otherwise protect every site, evil or otherwise.

Every day is avoid the internet day for me now.

I’m more sympathetic to CloudFlare on that issue. The CEO woke up in a bad mood and said “Hey, fuck these Nazis” but then later had the obvious thought of “What if someone who runs a internet infrastructure service wakes up in a bad mood and thinks ‘Hey, fuck these transexuals’ or other persecuted group?”

Putting in place better restrictions to be a lot more “net neutrality-like” is probably a good way to go if your company is now such a fundamental part of the internet infrastructure, even if it technically doesn’t fall under such laws otherwise. It’s like aspiring to common-carrier laws. Nobody now complains that airlines let nazis fly on them, or that nazis use telephones.

I’d LOVE all internet infrastructure company to have a list of people, like nazis, who they wouldn’t serve. Except I would need to be the one in charge of that list, and nobody else.

Gotta be honest, I liked spotify’s “weekly discocover”

I wasn’t hit by it. I think it detected that I legit like disco music.

I can’t find it.

It looks like it’s gone from my account now.

But what was their AFJ?

If nothing else Red Robin started offering impossible burger as a menu item. I tried it mostly because Burger King is going to be test marketing them in the near future. Mostly because at some point I’ll have to stop eating regular beef hamburgers.

The aftermath of /r/BlackPeopleTwitter banning white people for AFD has been disappointingly unsurprising.

Reality has made April Fool’s Day obsolete or at least redundant.

I want to go back to the old days of close-up minor pranks. Short duration, not mean, quick revelation.

All the metal album covers have been replaced with pictures of cats and it’s kinda amazing.
