That math Thing of the Day reminds me of how I wish a basic version of calculus was taught before algebra, in part for the exact reason they say for geometry, “… but keep in mind that you don’t need to understand everything to use it”. I think we’d have more students interested in engineering from a younger age if they saw the practical use if maths more.
