Now THAT is a gauntlet thrown down
Tonawanda taking the title of the thread a little too literallyâŠ
Is that like a New York Onion or something?
âIn this political environment, with all the horrible things being said about our police officers in the national media, this policy would be a real morale booster,â says Karen, a Tonawanda resident and supporter of the policy change who asked that her last name not be published
Yeah, itâs a semi-legit semi-bullshit local paper in the Buffalo area. If you look at their front page, their lead story is some Soros conspiracy bullshit, but they also have boring semi-accurate local reporting.
I donât even know if this story is true. Probably not since itâs not reported anywhere else. I just couldnât resist a story that was literally âfuck the police.â
The county Sherriffs are butt-hurt that an editorial cartoon in the newspaper said a mean thing, that is true, about the police and so they sent out a press release whining that the cartoonist is being divisive and prejudiced. Projecting much?
Salt Lake City police shoot 13-year old autistic white kid in the back when responding to a call from his mother that he was having an episode. On the 911 call she requested an officer with training in dealing with mental illness. So, even when the police have every opportunity to do the right thing, they still find a way to fuck things up.

The US is not the only place with a police brutality problem.
MAJOR CW This Twitter thread contains a lot of graphic stuff I didnât watch. Iâll be surprised if Twitter doesnât take a lot of it down. Not only is there a video of the inciting incident of cops killing Javier, but cops are also throwing rocks at protesters (yeah, you read that right) and shooting them with live ammo, murdering some. Protestors are setting a lot of things on fire like buses and police stations.
So the reveal of murder of Daniel Prude by cops 6 months ago has boiled over in Rochester and there has been continuous protests for over a week now. The police chief has resigned and the protests arenât stopping. Itâs honestly been heartening to march with the protests and see the city standing against cops in a real way.
