Cop runs stop sign causing an accident. The other driver was speeding, but had right of way. Cop arrests driver of the other car to cover for themselves.
How about the cop that performed a PIT maneuver against someone on a Citibike?
Basically rammed the bike with his car.
Here you go.
Also, Palantir is owned by Peter Thiel.
How could someone work for a company called “Palantir” and not know that they’re working on evil, oppressive surveillance tech? The name is as on-the-nose as it could possibly be.
Everyone thinks they’re the hero that’s going to make the saving throw and stop Sauron, and everyone* fucks it up.

NYPD pull over some adults for biking without helmets. Something which is not against the law. Get mad when the cyclist knows better. The cyclist got the year wrong, and thought it was 16 and under, but still had the law on their side.
In New York State, all bicyclists under the age of 14 years old are required to wear safety certified bicycle helmets when they are operators or passengers on bicycles (Sec. 1238(5)). Children aged 1 to 4 must wear certified bicycle helmet and ride in specially designed child safety seats.
The same cop who is doing all this illegal shit will go and arrest someone for jumping the subway turnstile ($2.75) or murder someone for selling untaxed tobacco.
It looks like maybe there’s a Queens wide and maybe city wide police slowdown happening. If so that’s illegal so there’s probably no official press release or anything like that, but I’ve seen some stuff on twitter indicating that it may be happening.
Whether or not it’s happening it brings to light some interesting things discovered during the last slowdown(s):
tl;dr: cops slowdowns are correlated (correlation != causation) with lower major crime being committed.
